Automatic Translator

Today Fiona had a friend come over to play after school. Lilly speaks, of course, only German. From the moment they got in the car, Fiona impressed me with her ability to translate- effortlessly. "Lilly, ein Tiger und ein Mann! Mummy, look, a poster with a tiger and a man!" in one breath. "Lilly, gehen wir zu Hause und spielen wir mit mein Spielzeugen! Mummy, Lilly's going to play dress up with me!" constantly. I'm impressed (and jealous!) and must say, am proud that I can hold my own conversations with four year olds in German. Even if Fiona corrects me constantly.
