Snow Treasure

For those of you who are not familiar with quality children's literature, Snow Treasure by Marie McSwigan is a must-read. It's set in Norway in World War II and children conceal the town's gold reserve by hiding it in snow forts, evading those bold Nazis who have come to town. This is a book I read often as a child. I don't think I brought my copy here, but it's something I'll dig out of storage over the summer. It's THAT good- it will make the suitcase-fee-heavy-book cut.
